The Blackout, My American Heart and Attack Attack, live from Camden's Electric Ballroom.

Camden is one of the most famous towns in the gig circuit; home to more than seven venues. Tonight's gig - and the final date of The Blackout's European tour - takes place at the Electric Ballroom, and at a capacity of 1100 is the second largest venue, and one of the most famous. In recent years, acts ranging from AFI to Paul McCartney, to Blink 182 have graced the stage here, so tonight The Blackout have large shoes to fill.

Tonight's gig was almost in jeopardy after Camden town was victim to the huge fire which took place just the night before, but luckily the Electric Ballroom wasn't hit and the gig is going ahead as planned. A buzz is in the air tonight, and it's noticeable as soon as you arrive at the venue. Forgetting the nights previous events a few hundred metres down the road, the doors are opened and fans cram around them, rushing to get in to grab their spot at the front.

The large floor is quickly filling up when fellow welsh band Attack! Attack! take to the stage. Having stepped in at the last minute to replace London's gO:AUdio, as their drummer had suffered a broken foot, Attack! Attack! come mostly unprepared for their set. Yet you wouldn't guess. Personally, I've never seen an opening band receive such a warm welcome at a gig; especially one they weren't supposed to play. Creating a large circle pit to such songs as "You and Me" and "Home Again" this band is certainly one to watch.

Next up are San Diegos's My American Heart. MAH's best buddies Pierce The Veil held the support responsibilities on The Blackout's last tour to a rapturous welcome, so it seems it's now MAH's turn to take the reins. Back for their second visit to the UK after supporting Madina Lake last autumn, it's pretty obvious that tonight they're adding to their already strong UK fan base. "Boys Grab Your Guns" and "The Process" gain large crowd participation. Frontman Larry Soliman's energetic performance is surely a factor in this bands success, as he involves the crowd in every aspect of his performance. Having become a four piece after guitarist Matt VanGasbeck left the band half way through this very same European tour with The Blackout, My American Heart still deliver a tight set, and are as catchy as ever. Gavin Butler, lead vocalist for The Blackout, bursts onstage to sing with Larry for the final chorus of "The Shake (Awful Feeling)",but , this isn't the only guest appearance which will happen tonight

The Blackout burst onto the stage with immense enthusiasm and energy. Those who have been to more than one gig of theirs will be able to tell you; they put every ounce of energy into their performance - whether it's in front of 100 or 1000 people. The floor becomes a mosh pit for the rest of the evening, with the band ripping through crowd favourites and past singles such as "The Beijing Cocktail" and "Hard Slammin'", even debuting "Life & Death in Space", a first exclusively for this UK tour. The biggest surprise of the night, however, happens towards the end of the set, when the band launch into their new single "It's High Tide Baby". Those who have heard the song before know that Ian Watkins, lead vocalist for Lostprophets, guests on the song. And for tonight only, he makes a rare appearance outside of his own group to come onstage to sing his part. The crowd surges forward and sing every word back to him.

The band finish their set with "I'm a Riot, You're a Fucking Riot" and that's exactly what they have created tonight: the Electric Ballroom is left as a riot of energetic diehard fans, and they obviously loved every minute of it.
